M. R. Lucas is a former business management consultant, legal project manager, and electronic discovery specialist, with a professional career spanning more than thirty years.

Though he studied mathematics in college, he was a regular presence at the campus computer center, where his passion for information technology and programming began to take shape.

Following graduation, he embarked on a long and successful career with a leading technology corporation. Along the way, he married and built a family with his wife of over three decades.

A lifelong fan of strategy games, particularly trading card games, M. R. Lucas also enjoys fencing, volleyball, and reading an eclectic mix of fantasy literature.

Now in semi-retirement, he’s turned his focus toward a long-held dream: writing sword and sorcery fantasy tales that blend adventure, magic, and richly imagined worlds.
